A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy wasn't seriously injured when the SUV he was driving was T-boned by a Lexus while driving through an intersection in Santa Clarita.

A Los Angeles County sheriff's deputy was in a frightening crash when his cruiser went airborne after another vehicle slammed into it Wednesday.

The collision happened shortly after noon as the deputy was entering an intersection in Santa Clarita, KTTV-TV reports. That's when a Lexus T-boned the deputy's SUV.

The deputy's SUV spun 180 degrees in the air and rolled over at least twice before landing upright. The Lexus also flipped over multiple times and struck another SUV.

Bystanders rushed to help the deputy and the other motorists following the crash. The collision was captured by another driver's dashboard camera.

"I think it speaks volumes that Santa Clarita, the community, loves the cops here," said LASD Sgt. Sherry Clark.

"It looked horrific, and we're all just so surprised and very happy that [the deputy] walked away basically unscathed."

No one was seriously injured in the crash.
